New Orchestra Piece by Mark Vigil

Mark Vigil (second from left) has recently offered his Scherzo Capriccio for Orchestra (played entirely pizzicato) for publication. It has received praise but no contract yet. Here is the recording:

Mark studied composition for 10 years with the late Thomas Svoboda (Czech, US) His website is at

Vigil’s pieces are strongly influenced by minimalism and Gamelan music. Here one can identify four modulations – one of the techniques that Svoboda helped him to develop.
